Preparing Before Sonshine Arrives Helps Keep Your Charges Down

Before our personnel arrive, we ask our clients to prepare the window areas for us to expedite the completion of the work. In preparing the areas, we ask that you remove all plants, knick knacks and light furniture from in front of the windows and doors we will be servicing. Any items that cannot be removed must be covered with a cloth, newspaper, etc. If it is not covered, Sonshine will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur.

We also ask that you open all curtains and drapes as wide as possible, pull up shades and blinds as high as possible or remove them completely. Our personnel can assist in moving some items but will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur in doing so. This includes the moving of any plants, knick knacks, light furniture, opening any curtains or drapes, pulling up shades and/or blinds or removing them completely from in front of the windows or doors we will be servicing. If Sonshine moves any item or items, we will not be held responsible for placing them back UNLESS A SERVICE CHARGE IS ADDED TO YOUR SERVICE. Periodically, clients prefer to have Sonshine add a service charge to their order to clear some of the window area instead of doing that before we arrive. We cannot, however, carry enough towels, tarps, etc. to cover everything a client owns.

Any floor area such as vinyl, hardwood, or light-colored carpets that cannot withstand a few drops of water must be covered by the client in front of the units being serviced. We also ask that any storm windows or screens that have been in storage and are now going to be cleaned and placed back into the windows should be placed next to the correct windows.

If Sonshine employees need to move any furniture, blinds, drapes, knick knacks, etc., due to the client’s lack of preparation prior to job starting, Sonshine and it’s employees will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur during any normal preparations they may be left to perform. A release form is required to allow our employees to do these tasks for you.
