How Sonshine Window Washing Estimates Are Done

You have requested Sonsine Window Washing Company to complete an onsite estimate for you. Sonshine provides the following ways to provide you with an estimate of its services:

  1. Free Telephone Estimate - A representative will ask questions over the phone about your service you would like to have performed, and generate a price for you based on the information you provided to us.
  2. Free Online Estimate - Fill out this form, and we will respond with a preliminary estimate based on the information given.
  3. Free Fax/Mail Estimate - We can fax or mail information sheets to you so that you can define the service that you would like to have performed. You can then mail or fax that information back to us or call us on the telephone to work through a telephone estimate that would be based on the information you provide to us.
  4. Onsite Estimate - You can choose to have Sonshine come to your business or home (date & time subject to Sonshine availability unless otherwise specified) to determine the count and description of the services you request. The charge to perform this service is normally prepaid at the rate of $50.00 per estimate - $75.00 for two estimates - $100.00 for four estimates. Sonshine would be willing to waive this charge if you will provide us with the following information:
    1. The name of the company that previously serviced your home/business (if applicable), and the cost of the most recent service. This gives us an idea of what your professional service experience has been and the time we will have to allot to perform the estimate/service.
    2. The amount you have budgeted to have the requested service performed. We will then try to suggest a service that would be within your budget.

In addition to completely one of the above, we would like to know the approximate date the last time the requested service was performed.

When our service technicians arrive at your home, they have been instructed to check the description of the units you have in your home, clarify the units you want serviced and go over the price with you before they begin. After we perform the estimate for you, we can provide you with a complete description of units to be serviced by location or floor and various costs to perform that service. We can also make recommendations as to what services are needed in addition to what services you requested us to do.

Sonshine's final pricing must be subject to onsite approval and work commencement. We do our best to give an estimate that will be very close to an actual cost. We cannot, however, perform a $300.00 service for $150.00 just to meet the quota for an incorrect description of the units ordered as described by the customer, an incorrect description of the units serviced by a pervious Sonshine service technician or for unforseen problems that might arise in the commencement of work. Our employees are paid for the service performed and not for the time spent (with the exception of our Investment Evaluation Estimate); and we have found that an accurate price is fair to both the client and the employee and allows the company to continue in business.

However... when a description of a particular Sonshine service cannot be ascertained over the phone and a client does not meet the requirements for a free onsite estimate, we now offer our New Hourly Service fees for the first time service of that work. In most cases, this charge will be less than our per unit charges. Hourly Services are scheduled as time allows. When being charged by the hour for Sonshine services, you pay for the time worked, not for the time purchased.

Example: If you pay for three hours and it takes two hours, you will be charged for two hours. Likewise, if you pay for two hours and it is going to take three hours, you will be notified of the additional charge and you must authorize the work to be completed.
