How Sonshine Estimates Are Done

You have requested Sonsine Window Washing Company to complete an onsite estimate for you. Sonshine provides the following ways to provide you with an estimate of its services:

  1. Free Telephone Estimate - A representative will ask questions over the phone about your service you would like to have performed and enter that information into the computer which will generate a price for you based on the information you provided to us.
  2. Free Online Estimate - Fill out this form, and we will respond with a preliminary estimate based on the information given.
  3. Free Fax/Mail Estimate - We can fax or mail information sheets to you so that you can define the service that you would like to have performed. You can then mail or fax that information back to us or call us on the telephone to work through a telephone estimate that would be based on the information you provide to us.
  4. Prepaid Demonstration Estimate - Sonshine can no longer provide free onsite estimates due to the rising cost of material and labor that it takes to provide a potential client with this information.

    A Prepaid Demonstation Estimate (where information is gathered and Sonshine services are demonstrated) can be provided to any potential client to secure pricing on the spot for any service that Sonshine provides.

    Demonstration fees will be deducted from the cost to complete the work requested as long as the work is contracted to be serviced within 14 business days of said demonstration. In addition, a maximum of 10% can be added with a prepaid deposit for said appointments. To receive a greater discount, no deduction for the demonstration estimate would have to apply.

    Prepaid fees are as follows:

    $50.00 for window/gutter cleaning demonstration estimates.

    $100.00 for all low pressure cleaning demonstration estimates (includes windows & gutters)

    When estimates are given over the telephone or via the internet, fax, or mail, our service technicians have been instructed, when they arrive at your house/business, to check the description of the units you have in your home, clarify the units you want serviced and go over the price with you before they begin. After we perform the estimate for you, we can provide you with a complete description of units to be serviced by location or floor and various costs to perform that service. We can also make recommendations as to what services are needed in addition to what services you requested us to do.

    Sonshine's final pricing must be subject to onsite approval and work commencement. We do our best to give an estimate that will be very close to an actual cost. We cannot, however, perform a $300.00 service for $150.00 just to meet the quota for an incorrect description of the units ordered as described by the customer, an incorrect description of the units serviced by a pervious Sonshine service technician or for unforseen problems that might arise in the commencement of work. Our employees are paid for the service performed and not for the time spent and we have found that an accurate price is fair to both the client and the employee and allows the company to continue in business.

    However...

    When a description of a particular Sonshine service cannot be ascertained over the phone and we cannot get to the site to review the work requested, we now offer our New Hourly Service fees for the 1st time service of that work. In most cases, this charge will be less than our per unit charges. Hourly Services are scheduled as time allows. When being charged by the hour for Sonshine services, you pay for the time worked, not for the time purchased.

    Example: If you pay for 3 hours and it takes 2 hours, you will be charged for 2 hours. Likewise, if you pay for 2 hours and it is going to take 3 hours, you will be notified of the additional charge and you must authorize the work to be completed.
